Christine Stone is Marlene Stone's daughter by an unnamed guardian who turned. Formerly a vampire, she is now an angel assisting the forces of Light in the war between Heaven and Hell.

Biography

Early Life

When Marlene was pregnant with Christine, she refused to raise Damali because of the possible threat to her own child. As Christine grew up, she went onto the streets and into a dark lifestyle, making her vulnerable to the forces of darkness. When she was fifteen, Fallon Nuit, who was searching for the Neteru, found her and mistook her for Damali. He abducted Christine, but once he realized she was not the Neteru, he bit her and turned her into a vampire. After the bite, Christine became a second lieutenant and Nuit's queen, and was known as Raven.

Raven was tall and lithe, reeked of sulfur, had massive fangs, a black pronged tongue and scaled cheeks. Her jaw would unhinge under the skin. He french manicure would become retractable claws. Her eyes would go from their normal walnut hued appearance to glowing red slits.

Her known attire consisted of skin-tight leather pants and boots.

She often transformed into a large black panther with slits for eyes and massive fangs.

Personality (Raven)

As a Vampire, Raven enjoyed the perks of being Nuit's queen. When Nuit finally managed to track down Damali, she began turning Carlos' inner circle and intended to turn Carlos as well. She was jealous of Damali's ability to usurp her position and intended to have Carlos battle Nuit for her.

Death

Aside from her initial death at the age of 13, when she became a vampire. Her second death as a vampire was at the hands of her adoptive sister, Damali Richards. Damali planted the Isis Blade in her chest, causing her to crumble into ash when it was yanked out.

Abilities (Raven)

She seemingly had the ability to create acid, using it to burn away Alejandro Rivera's groin as well as dropping acid on his chest via a fang.

Minion

Raven is Fallon Nuit's lair-mate. She begins killing and turning Carlos Rivera's inner circle one by one. Upon finding out that Nuit is replacing her with Damali, she barters herself away to Carlos.

The Awakening

Five years later, in the days preceding Damali's 21st birthday, Raven is killed by Damali in a battle and becomes a succubus.

The Forbidden

Raven appears to Damali as a succubus and begs her to take her into the Light. Damali agrees, on the condition that she lead her to the Vampire Council chambers. Raven makes good on her side of the bargain by leading Damali through the levels of Hell to level six.

During the battle in Philadelphia, Raven appears to Marlene and the guardians following her, and guides them to safety. She apologizes to her mother for everything she did as a vampire and for hurting her.

The Damned

It is said that Raven has gone into the Light in a ritual performed by Damali and witnessed by her mother, Marlene.

The Forsaken

Christine appears to Dan as a spirit, to comfort him as he feels alone because all the other guardians in his team have paired up already. Christine tells him not to worry, that someone special will come to him soon. She also admits that she finds Heaven boring and that she is working to become an angel.

The Cursed

Christine is one of the spirits who appears before the Neteru guardian team during the battle at Masada.

The Darkness

When Damali, Inez and Mike arrive in Atlanta to collect Ayana and Inez's mother, Ayana reveals that Christine appeared to her while she was being threatened by Fallon Nuit and told her to scream very loudly and do what she can to fight Nuit. Ayana's words confirm that Christine is now an angel.

Trivia

• In Shadow Walker, Sarah says legend has it that Carlos is said to be one of only 3 vampires to ever be pardoned by The Light. The other 2 are members of Carlos' line, Yonnie and Tara respectively. There are however, 2 more not mentioned.
  1. Christine Stone was turned at the age of 15 by Fallon Nuit and considered too young to be taken by the darkness.
  2. Gabrielle, the sister of Marjorie Berkfield who is said to have been retrieved from Purgatory.
