Imam Asula was of the Moorish order and a member of The Covenant and ally to the Neteru Guardian Squad. He is first introduced in The Awakening with the rest of the Covenant.

A large, burly, 'African-looking' Sheik, wearing all white-cotton and a gold star and crescent in the center of his chest.

He's said to resemble Big Mike in stature.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

His skills as a guardian fall into the tactical or audio sensor category along with Monk Lin. It's never made clear which is which. His weapon of choice is a machete.

Introduced with the rest of the Covenant in a parking garage, confronting Carlos Rivera, attempting to make a deal with him.

He joined the Neteru Guardian Team in hell, fighting alongside them to protect Damali and the Neteru Guardians.

Asula is one of the 3 remaining members of the original Covenant still alive. He, along with Father Patrick and Monk Lin met with Padre Lopez in Mexico to track down and rescue Carlos.
