Paul Malloy was a detective working in L.A. alongside his partner Detective Berkfield. He was a marked human helper working for the Vampire Council. When Carlos Rivera did a dead drop in an alley dumpster, he attempted to shoot Carlos but the bullet went through him. On his second attempt to shoot Carlos, Carlos re-directed his own bullet through his chest.
