Minion, The Awakening or The Hunted claim Carlos was born (elsewhere) and moved to L.A. at the age of 10. Something I read recently (I don't remember what it was) claimed Carlos was born in L.A. This wouldn't be the first time the series contained conflicting info on a piece of info such as this.
