About Me

Hello, my name is Korra II Allison Baskerville.. My introduction to this series was on December 25, 2009. I was first gifted The Darkness as a Christmas present. I quickly realized when I opened the cover that the book was part of a series so my mother helped me track down the remaining 9 books. I didn't start reading them until May 2010 and read them over the course of 2010 and 2011 until late 2011 when I finally finished The Darkness. I realized there were even more books in the story that I had missed out on.

In early 2014 I finally ordered the last 2 books in the series as well as Shadow Walker and began re-reading the series and finally finished the story. I didn't read Shadow Walker until somewhere around 2017 I believe, when I found out the L.A. Banks had died before ever finishing the series.

I've known about the comics and Anthologies since I first finished Shadow Walker but neglected to read them. Recently I gave up video-games and anything related as hobbies for good and decided to focus more of my attention on reading. I was previously editing a video-game wiki and missed wiki editing. I discovered this wiki mid-2019 but was busy with my gaming wiki so I didn't give this one much thought. Now that I'm no longer working on any other wikis, I decided to do my best to clean up and fill out this wiki with as much content as I possibly could.

I started ordering the books and comics that I was missing as well as attempting to preserve as much nearly-lost content as I could find. I was able to download both Carlos and Damali's themes from the archives of the official website, I tracked down the Vampire Huntress Legend Sampler book and saved all of the content I could from the official website to my personal PC.

I mentioned above that I wanted to fill out the wiki with as much content as I possibly could. There's various bits of info from the series that were never made clear in the novels, such as characters ages. I believe that Rider says Tara was dead for 40 years when she claimed to be pregnant. I was led to believe that Rider was in his mid-late 40's and that he had known Tara from before she was a Vampire so that just led to confusion. I began scouring the official website and sources to make note of all such bits of information to determine what the characters actual ages were as well as get an idea what the over-all timeline looked like.

Aside from adding content to the wiki, my secondary goal has been to clean it up. Many of the pages have the basic foundation for character pages but they're either lacking formatting or the existing formatting is quite messy. My hope is to lead by example and clean up the wiki so possible future editors will be more inclined to contribute to the wiki. When it has proper templates and consistent formatting and quality, I believe other fans of the series will be more inclined to take it seriously and contribute, fleshing out character bios and other various bits of info.

Chapter 21. Shabazz says he's been with Marlene for 15 years. He's 40 in Minion. So he's likely 41 in The Hunted. That means he went to juvenile hall at 16. Transferred to prison at 18, where he met Nafes Shabazz. He got out at 26 and met Marlene in New Orleans. He claims he hadn't had sex with anyone since he was 18, when he met Marlene. So he must've been in a Juvie that had boys and girls.

Chapter 10 P131: Carlos refers to Padre Lopez and Jose as 8 or 9 gen. He says Lopez's Great-Great-Grandmother was bitten, but her child wasn't born human. If she was bitten by a fourth-gen, the last gen that can produce fangs, then Lopez is a Gen 8 vamp.

The Forbidden

Chapter 12. A Druid refers to Damali taking in a fellow Druid. Dan, Juanita, Berkfield, Carlos, Tara, Yonnie? He refers to Leprechauns as Wee Folk and claims they were a powerful "good" coven "back then". He claims the Druids learned their mystical arts from the Egyptians and referred to them and Damali as masters.

Chapter 20: Carlos has a premonition about a female staking him. (Lopez's death.)

Chapter 22. Rabbi who was so hunched over, he looked like an elderly gnome. Thick, wire-rimmed Glasses, cancer, bony finger. Brother was a scientist who met with Berkfield. Bony finger. Brother discreetly sent him arms and told him to be prepared.

Chapter 22: description of Gabrielle's new york place and her "old as dirt, black cat familiar." Mentions she has New Orleans and L.A. Doesn't serve weres in New York. "She's ghastly white and skinny." Carlos promised a daywalker councilman's bite.

Chapter 22: Tara is the only female in the zone.

Chapter 23: description of Gabrielle's new york place. Gabrielle talks about her sister, Majorie.

Chapter 23: Juanita gets her memory back. Rider gets bitten by a level 2 Tara. Yonnie finally learns that Carlos has a soul.

Chapter 25: Lore about Lilith's backstory. Lilith is labeled as "The Forbidden".

Chapter 26: Gabrielle gives Damali a ring with a stone. Talks about her human contacts. Talks about generators, timers and locks at her place. Calls Carlos "Mr. Councilman"

Chapter 27: Dante gores Lilith's womb with the baby Isis. It's blasted out her back and burns. Turns to smoke that makes its way up Carlos' nose.

Chapter 27: Yonnie and Tara show up. Yonnie mentions none of them can go sub. Chairman is terrified.

Chapter 28: Damali is one of the most popular music icons.

Chapter 28: Yonnie didn't fix Carlos' mother and grandmother's burns. Damali says they might be saints. Carlos says "Like Lopez."

Chapter 28: Gabrielle is a manhattan-based witch.

The Damned

Prologue: LaShawna in Houston Texas.

Prologue: Damali and Carlos are in the Gullas Islands off the South Carolina Coast.

Chapter 1: The team is at the house in AZ. Damali is moving to her own place down the road.

Tara nearly turned Rider. Yonnie is with Tara. Yonnie has met Carlos and didn't believe that he was the male Neteru.

“Even a cathedral didn’t fry him, nor did daylight! His own team wouldn’t put him out of his misery,” he bellowed. “Did you want him to live? Be one of us! Be yours forever—then why don’t you go to where he is now and make it permanent?”

Characters

Carlos' Sister: Damali remembers Carlos' sister as being strung out and skinny when she gave her rags to wear. Carlos and Alejandro remember her running down the street, chasing an ice cream truck for them. Damali remembers Carlos' sister and her friends as being cool.

Carlos' Mother: Mrs Rivera was said to be sweet by Damali.

Brazilian were-demon Glowing green slits for eyes. Shackled to a region. She has fangs and can shape shift into human female form. She can open her mind to scan the region like a seer to sense danger. She was hungry, sexy, twisted. There was something very 'vamp' about her. (Page unknown. Needs clarification: There was a deeper, older, earthier, mustier scent.)

Big Mike: In The Hunted, it's noted that he's selective about the women he hooks up with.

Dan and Rider: have blood-line ties to the Brazil region that might make them targets. This is never elaborated on.

Marlene and Shabazz have an open relationship.

Temt Tchaas:

• Leather-bound, symbol covered book. It only reveals what it wants to you, when it is time for you to know it. Nzinga's name was revealed to Damali and Marlene. Marlene notes that it rarely "violates itself." Having only seen the book do this once previously. When Carlos, who had been previously marked as Damali's soul mate kicked his drug game up a notch when Damali was 15. His name was burned out of the book. P ; 287 of the Hunted, MMP.

  Amazon Neteru:

• If the Amazonian Neteru fell in the mid 1540's, it means Nzinga was sent very early. In 40 years instead of 1,000. Both of these numbers are contradictins to the earlier made statement that there hasn't been a female Neteru in over 3,000 years.

Were Demons

Neteru Calls will block a were-demon's call. They move quickly, can take human form by day and feast on human flesh. They're very shrewd. Level 5 is the realm of hunters, predators and warriors.

Separate some of the details from the Dark Realms (level 5) page and the Demons page into a Were-Demons page.

Amanthras

Carlos notes that a significant portion of his soul resided on level 4. His jaw unhinges to leave a more powerful bite. He carried a little of what Nuit had and whatever bites, leaves a repository. Council's bite overrode Nuit's's but Carlos wonders if that was why the level 4 Amanthra gave him a pass.

Level 4 snake demon:

• Black body, shimmering like a jewel. Dipping and swaying hypnotically. A head the size of a small compact car. The low-slung coil was the width of two men's bodies. Its length was incomprehensible as it kept uncoiling. I had massive jawbones and deadly fangs. It moved so fast to claim a body that Carlos didn't have time to blink. It had a scaled neck and smelled of the acidic burn of flesh. It had fangs dripping sulfiric ooze that dissolved the dense foliage on the ground.

Vampire Lines

Carlos, Yonnie, Tara, Dante, Nuit, Dracula

Nuit is the master that was made from Dracula's line. Carlos was made by Nuit. Jose and Padre Lopez were of the same line as Carlos. (Carlos' turn was interfered with by the Chairman, Dante.) Inside the Mind of a Vampire (After the sun), Carlos notes that his original bite was simultaneous. However, Council's overruled Nuit's.

Yonnie and Tara might have been from different lines but became connected to Carlos as they were descended.
